today was one of the longest days of your lives. you were right that you slept like a baby last night, and you woke refreshed for the first time in a year.
you organized mass in your village, the parishioners gave you a farewell as you'd be leaving in two weeks. then you saw your friend one last time.
the two of you hugged, held each other's arms, she cried. you told each other how much you love one another - you held her face and kissed her cheek.
then a 260km round-trip to see you brother who you hadn't seen in months. you guys are chill, but it was unusual to see each other in your hometown.
back in the village and you caught up with your childhood friend and told him the news of you leaving. he already knew.
and back into stress. the gossip, the bullshit - the reason you're leaving.
any doubt you had about leaving is now gone.
